Hi,

I'm Melody Ch'ng and I'm a Malaysian (just as Michelle is). I built this site since March 2007 as an Internet and Web Publishing project for the course I am taking and also as a tribute to Michelle and her works.

The first Michelle movie I saw was Wing Chun. I loved the movie (and it later become one of my favorite Michelle movies of all time) very much but was too young to have known who she was. I saw another Michelle movie again in 1997 in Tomorrow Never Dies where I was told by my mother that the actress in this film was a Miss Malaysia (1982) and that she's an expert in Martial Arts. I was amazed by Michelle's performance in TND and it left me a lasting impression. I was determined to find out who she was. But being only 10 years of age then and had no access to internet, I was not able to do so.

Then came 2001 when Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was released, I saw a lovely photo of Michelle in The Star where she was attending the premiere of Moulin Rouge looking absolutely stunning and also she appeared in The Malaysians' Woman Weekly. I went online and immediately start searching for her. To my surprise, many sites appeared (among them are Michelle Yeoh Web Theatre by Jane and Michelle Yeoh Unofficial Fan Club later known as Michelle Yeoh Collective by Angela and Dean) and I learned lots about her in those sites. Within days, I became an avid fan of hers and began to start my search to find all her previous movies (which took several years due to availability).

My love for Michelle grew as days go byˇ­ In 2002, The Touch (the 1st movie Michelle produced and acted) was released and I met many fans from around the world through The Touch Message Board. Later on in 2004, Michelle produced another movie - Silver Hawk, and I was able to see her in person in the premiere in Penang. It was a great experience. Although Michelle no longer owns a production company (previously she did and it was called Mythical Films in which they produced The Touch and Silver Hawk), she continued to act in Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), the upcoming Sunshine (2007), True North, Children of Huang Shi and Babylon AD.

As a fan of Michelle, I'd like to wish her a lifetime of health and happiness.
